#1 | | Junior Member | I like displays for photos, not video, so a big display is good.
I like a thin phone.
I like a phone where one can put one's own wallpaper and ringtones - not paying verizon.
Down to LG 8700 - like the finish but wish external screen was larger
Motorazr Maxx ve - nice larger screen - easy to pick up fingerprints
Motorazr v9 - looks better than maxx, weaker battery but can buy a bigger one)
On the Moto's can I have difference wallpaper on internal and external
Any real difference in screens in bright light
Would one be better for reception? Looking for thoughts. I will have the phone for 2 years.
TIA

#3 | | Daderator | You cannot have a different wallpaper on the internal and then one on the external.
All Moto phones have pretty good reception...haven't heard of any real difference between any you've mentioned.

I assume using them would be pretty much the same with the verizon ui.

The KRZR K1m, RAZR MAXX VE and RAZR2 V9m can all show different images on the internal and external screens.

#10 | | Junior Member | I have a V9m with verizon. I absolutely hate it and am going to return it soon. The Maxx Ve is supposed to be worse than the V9m. The V9m doesn't have the features that Motorola's site advertises. I am currently looking at the Moto Z6tv and the Moto Q9m.
If your simply looking for great call quality, the V9m is amazing, but thats all it has. Plain and simple. I think $250 for that only feature is a joke, there's nothing innovative about this phone, or anything that makes it stand out (at least the verizon version)
***The Battery life is not even close to the advertised amount for the V9m!!!!!!!!!!!!! I talk for maybe 10 minutes a day and sent/receive maybe upto 10 texts a day, and I need to charge it everynite b/c the battery almost dies on me every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!***

#11 | | Junior Member | Thanks for the suggestion. I was quite disappointed.
So, I will wait a bit - my 2 year contract is up 11/21 - so I may look into Cingular or Sprint. However, most people say Verizon has the best reception so I probably will stay with it.

#12 | | Junior Member | ok since it expires 11/21...
I'm the guy who got the V9m and returned it b/c its a piece of trash! anyways i went back to verizon and got a LG chocolate 8550 (the newer chocolate) and thus far im nothing but impressed. its a great phone with a very long batter life. u can access almost everything with out slidding it open. only reason to open it is if u have to type a number to call or replying in a text message.
Music quality is great and its far more ''usable'' than the v9m. i love having the latest greatest phone, and thats y i originally got hte v9m, but its not the greatest and i believe that the chocolate is. theres also a silver flip phone out there with a ''vertical'' external display and it didnt seem to have enough features for me, but, i have many friends with it and they love it.
i wanted to get the z6tv, but its not a quality phone when i personally compared it in the store to the chocolate

#14 | | Member | Leave Verizon... I came from Cingular and my buddy had Sprint. We both agree that Verzon has the best coverage compared to the rest of them.
