I need help deciding phones

I am a college student and I am looking for a phone that will help to keep me organized. Where I live Verizon by far has the best service, so i need to get a Verizon phone. I have been looking at the Motorola Q, the treos, and the blackberry curve. I know the blackberry curve isn't coming out for a bit, but I'm willing to wait for a while longer if it is a lot better than the Motorola Q and the treo. The thing is I don't really care about email and the internet, and verizon told me that I have to have some sort of data plan if I buy a blackberry. So, I am leaning toward a Motorola Q or a treo. I am just wanting to use this to keep my work schedule and all my class work organized. So, having to pay the extra $25-40 a month for the blackberry is really worth it to me, unless blackberry's are that much better than the motorola q or treos. I am currently really leaning toward the motorola q.

Anyone with suggestions please help me, because I have no idea on what is good when it comes to these things.

The moto Q9m (the music) one looks sweet. I just bought a moto razr2 v9m and hate it. I am looking into the q9m as well as the z6tv now that the razr2 v9m was such a let down!
Black berries are over rated in my opinion, though the pearl looks sweet (coming out in december).

why not a simple flip phone? or somethin like enV
