An interesting story and question about Verizon's return policy

Alright,
So I have a Verizon phone that i took with me into my friend's jacuzzi, i did everything to fix it and i got it working again. But after a couple of weeks the phone died. I took it to Verizon, paid $50, and got a replacement. After 2 days a few of the buttons stopped working. I took it in again but they were out of razr's. The guy told me hed send a new phone and id send the old phone back. However, I jumped in the pool with the phone in my pocket while the new phone was en route. This phone was beyond saving. I got my new phone, but never got around to sending the now completely broken phone back with the hopes that theyd forget . So anyways, 4 months later they charge my account for the phone. Should I send the broken phone in? Whats Verizons policy if you send them a broken phone that originally only had a few buttons go bad?

And no need to tell me I'm retarded, I've already come to terms with that, just trying to figure out my best course of action. (I really dont feel like shelling out $200)
