Samsung Juke, The New LG Chocolate, and The KRZR
What are your personal preferences and how good do you think these phones are? Battery life? Speaker quality, signal strength, and ear piece???

It even comes with a USB cable and anyone can hook it up to a computer (including a Mac) and add music to it. That is how all phones should work.
The downside as to why I wouldn't recommend for everyone is the smaller screen & somewhat bizarre way it opens.
The Krzr and Chocolate are fine otherwise. I'd probably get the chocolate cause I tend to prefer that style against flip phones.

(ie: the new 8550 is great for people that listen and download alot of music to their phones, both the KRZR or the Samsung will work well for users that plan on doing some texting, but use their phones mostly for calls).
Here is a side-by-side comparison guide of these three handsets to give you an idea of what features are available on them, as well as a few good reviews: Compare Phones (Phone Scoop)

#6 | | Member | I have a KRZR (upgrading to Voyager today). The music player is OK... not the best. You need a card (microSD) to use your own music. I dled the verizon music software online, used a mini usb to hook up to my laptop (with the card in place) and transferred my music, which happened to be 4 TOOL albums, and used up all 512 MB of space on the card. I've used the player at different times, but the volume isn't all that great and the music sounds metallic (due to the phone being all metal, I assume). I've got a friend with an enV, and his volume with the music through the speakers on it was at least twice as loud as mine. I used mine at an amusement park, with volume up as loud as it would go, held TO my ear, on the Scrambler, and couldn't hear it. AT ALL. I wouldn't buy the KRZR as a MUSIC phone. It's more a phone, that happens to be ABLE to play music.

From what I have heard, the new Chocolate 8550's are much improved over the first version that came out.

#8 | | Junior Member | well my concern is that I've heard so many people who have KRZR say that they become a piece of crap after using it for only about 6 month.s And if this is the case, then I would definitly not want this phone. The problems I heard about the KRZRs are that after 6 months, even if you don't use your phone too much, the battery life of it goes so bad that it won't even last a day. Also, I've heard that the speaker goes bad and so on. If it's not true, then I want to get it because it's a cool phone and I like its capabilities. It IS cheaper than the Cholcoate after all =]

As for the battery life, it really comes down to how you take care of it and what features that you are using most often on your phone. Running VCast Apps., and the Mobile Web will definitely cause the battery to drain faster than if you are only using the phone for texting and calls.
I recommend that you check both of these phones out at the store to see which one appeals more to you.

and I've seen a lot of people with KRZRs and all of them complain about the battery issue, and they only use it for the "phone capabilities." Occasional texting, but not really at all.
Well I guess this boils down to the fact that for ym case I'd go with Chocolate.

I had an issue where the screens would come on sporadically, stay on for the 15 seconds, shut off, then turn around and come on again... CONSTANTLY. I must say also that I had 85% full on pics at the time also... so I deleted some junk pics and the did *228 option 2, and recharged it in the car on my DC charger, and I got 3 days out of it. I WAS also sick at the time and not really using it, but I don't use it much at night and in the early morning, so it wasn't much different, maybe 4 txt msgs difference. But yeah, it's great now.
