Employee Discount Upgrade Question

Hi All,
First post! I have sort of an involved question regarding upgrading my Verizon phone and renewing my contract simultaneously. I have a family share plan with two lines which recently became month-to-month (my contract expired). I'd like to go ahead and renew and upgrade, but I am eligible for a discount through my employer...This requires that I purchase through a special section of the Verizon store online.

Does anyone have experience using the "employee discount" section of the Verizon store? It looks like I can only select one phone to upgrade and sign a new contract for...Would this mean that only the line I select to upgrade would be under the new service contract? Would the two lines under my family share plan basically become two separate plans?

I called Verizon customer service and the rep on the other end seemed a little uncertain....

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Re: Employee Discount Upgrade Question

Ok...your phones and plans are through your employer...I'm a bit confused on that part.

I have experience using the employee discount section. Yes, you can only upgrade the primary account number's phone.

Also yes on the new 2 year contract.

No, if you have a family share plan, both lines are under one contract and therefore both would be under the new service contract.

Re: Employee Discount Upgrade Question

you dont have to go thru the online store to get your company discount sometimes the online store can offer a better price but any store can set up your discount
