OH NO! enV OR THE SCH-U740!?!?

I really need help! I really like the Samsung SCH-u740, the samsung which flips two ways with a dual hinge (the black not gold color). BUT, my friend said i should get the green enV. I think the enV is cool yes but i do love flip phones. I need help on deciding!!

1. I will do more calls than texting (i assume, this might change)
2. I dont think my plan has unlimited text (me and twin sis. are only ones w/o phones at the moment, were getting em this week, mom dad and older sis. have phones
3. What plan is best for me?

Please respond! Thank you!!!

I've used both phones and honestly, if you're going to be txting more, get the env. The keyboard is easier to use, and has more things accessible without pressing shift buttons.

Also, the 'num lock' on the u740 is a pain. If you want a ? you have to press it to get the ? then press i again to get the regular keyboard back. On the env the 'sym' key is more of a shift button.

I think the ENv would be better suited for you. However, if you want a phone that's smaller and thinner, I would go with the U740. Good luck

I LOVE my enV! Best phone I've ever owned! The keyboard is much easier to use, and the large inside screen is great!

I have never owned the Envy and I have owned the SCH-U740. Not sure on what you are going to be using the phone for mostly, but if you plan on texting a lot I would go with the Envy... Being that the 740 is a much smaller phone, it is ONLY capable of holding 50 text messages. Also another thing you may want to keep in mind is the battery life of the 740 wasn't great. That is part of the reason that I did an early upgrade to the Voyager. They do NOT offer an extended battery for the 740. Also I have always been super careful with all of my phones, but I had dropped my 740 one time, and it wasn't even a very hard hit, and that was enough to take HUGE chunks of plastic out of it.. I didnt find it to be very durable at all... Way too fragile for my personal taste. As much as it is ok for texting, the close placement of the buttons DID pose a problem for me as well and I dont have really big fingers..
