Verizon wireless overages?

I have the plan that offers 900 minutes a month. I could of sworn it was .25 a minute over. And i just got my bill and 3 hours over is going to cost me 72 dollars, which means i was charged .40 a minute. Was it recently raised? And is there anything i can do about it.

How long have you had your current plan?
At current, the 900 minute plans have overage charges of 40 cents per minute.
