Re: Using At&t Blackjack on verizon

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Blackjack works on GSM, Verizon uses CDMA technology for their wireless network. Here's an article explaining the differences:What is the Difference Between GSM and CDMA?

Ebay it, then use the money to buy a CDMA smartphone.

I read there is are dual band or dual mode phone that can work on either CDMA or GSM. However, it is expensive and still can be locked to one provider. Sim chip is ignored if using CDMA.

Dual mode.
1. Uses CDMA in the USA.
2. Uses GSM in Europe.
The GSM freqs. that it does use are Europe and other areas
that use them. IE. NO 850 band. The US uses 850.
