Metro Z6M on Verizon?

Help! I called verizon and asked if I could use my metropcs(sux) Moto ROKR Z6M on their network. They said no, I asked why---they said the fone is not compatible. I said, yes it is, I'm a cell site engineer and know it will. They said so sorry.

Anyone know?

Verizon Wireless will only activate their own branded phones.

Well I hope so. My razr display is toast, white screen, and they say it can't be fixed, but don't want to replace it unless I sign another 2 yr contract. My contract is up and the wife wants to go back to ATT. I'd rather stay with verizon, but if they don't want to keep me, then oh well...

I'm sure they would like to keep you as a customer. What do you expect them to do? They have already said they would replace your phone if you sign a contract. As of now, they won't activate a phone that's not theirs.

Don't they have a refurb program? I worked for nextel for several years, and they did---at least then they did. With their stock tanked, they probably don't anymore.

why not just get a new phone?

I did, Krazr K1m. Which raises more questions, because I pulled the microSD out of the Z6M and put it in the K1m and can't see the pics. I can see that 29MB is used, but no pics. Any clues?
