Hi Everyone, I just joined the forum. I'm typing this with one hand and holding on to a cactus with the other to keep from blowing away (smile).
For my use, Verizon Wireless is the best going. However, most of the folks you speak with don't know much and those that do will lie like a rug

!
I "know" that with certain phones and certain plans (older ones) one can access the internet by connecting one's "certain cell phone" to a laptop.
It's a slow connect, but it's FREE, depending on when you use it and how many FREE minutes you have.
Verizon denies it! They have denied it for a number of years and it's always a hassle when changing phones, etc, etc. They won't be honest about it.
I just upgraded to the Sansung Gleam u700 and I guess it isn't allowed on the network in the above fashion. Verizon will say that is the case with all the phones they sell now. Other VZ folks, including managers, will say that some phones will work as described. I can take the Gleam back and have my old LG VX5200 re-activated. However, I'd like to get a newer phone because of the battery........and because it would be FREE on an extension/upgrade.
Has anyone stayed on top of this? If so please post or contact me by email.

BTW, I'm currenly trying their Broadband Connect. Not bad, but $59.99 per month.
Many Thanks,
