MOTOKRZR K1m

I was searching for cell phone support forums and found this forum. Maybe someone here can help.

I currently have a MOTOKRZR K1m. The phone keeps freezing. I took it back to Verizon last month and they gave me a refubished Krzr. Something about the software on the phone was outdated? The tech guy said he had never seen any phone do that. Well...a month later, the same thing happened.

Is worth going back to the store and another refubished phone (which by the way, I had to pay to have ALL of my data send to the second phone!) or just get another phone?

When you state "just get another phone" do mean purchase another one? That's always an option.

However, if VZW replaces your existing model twice (your third one) they will replace it with a different model on your fourth one. Of course, this is providing all three phones you had previously show symptoms. The replacement model is of their choosing based on what they feel is a comparable model. They have a chart in the stores to tell you what your K1m would be replaced with.

At that point you'll have options.
1. Keep the K1m and put up with the issues
2. Take the replacement model VZW offers
3. Purchase any phone at the retail price ($$$)

I am going through this with my Samsung SCH-u540. I really like the phone but it power-resets sometimes--mostly when using the browser, sometimes in GIN applications. The replacement is an LG VX8350, which I don't really want, so I just deal with the reset. Also, I bought an LG VX8700 on eBAY and now swap between the two phone depending on what I feel like using.
