Phones from Verizon and others

Hello everyone..

I've been with Verizon for a number of years and I'm coming up on the end of my contract. I thought this would be an opportunity that I could look at other carriers and make sure this is where I want to be.

So, I went and looked at ATT and Sprint. The only phone that I would even consider would be the Blackjack 2. From Verizon I like both the Voyager and the Glide. I want nothing to do with the iPhone - I think Apple is too controlling on all their stuff.

I guess what I'm saying is that I was surprised that ATT and Sprint didn't really have any phones that were exciting. It was a real let-down. Did I miss something on these other carriers?

Here is my method of thinking when choosing who to go with. If the first question passes, then the next question in line is asked and so on..

1) Do they have the phones I want?
2) What is their coverage like - is it good in my area?
3) How much will their plans cost me?
4) Is their customer service any good?

If anyone sees any errors in my login when choosing a carrier, please feel free to comment. I like to hear other peoples points of view.

If anyone has any other comments for me in regard to staying with Verizon or looking at something else, please feel free to comment. So far I've been good with Verizon but I kind of feel like it costs a lot.

My family has been with Verizon for about 4 years now. We dont get the absolute best reception at our house but basically anywhere else we go we get great service. Verizon is most def. expensive and way overpriced in my opinion but at the same time they have so much better phones than any of the other carriers. AT&T, Sprint, Tmobile etc have retarded looking phones that dont appeal to me what so ever. When i look at most of there phones they just seem to be outdated or of less quality that verizon offers.

Sprint has the best internet for the phone world.....Tmobile is the cheapest but is going to be a major competitor here soon since they just started there 3G network!. AT&T is alright but not very expensive which i like but i hate there phones completely! The IPhone is a waste of money and is way overpriced!

If it was me I would look at everything as a whole and decide if you are happy with verizon or not? If not i would recommend Tmobile as they are going to be passing sprint and AT&T here in the near future since they are also updating there service as in putting up new towers every month! They also have some new phones coming out that is going to put the Iphone and The Voyager up for a run.

Just dont make a impulse decision!

Well, I have been happy with Verizon. I just got back from the mall and I visited the ATT and Sprint stands and none of their phones are on! They have a stupid little picture of the main menu. Verizon has them all on so you can try them out and see how the menus are.

When I asked about seeing "live" phones to the ATT guy he said they don't have any and they're all the same so you don't need to see any of them. Because the "picture on the front shows you what it's going to look like". haha. What a retard. Verizon for teh win!

So far my experience with Verizon and the others is untouchable. At this point I'll be staying with Verizon.
