Verizon user interface software

Hello everyone, newbe here.

I currently am a verizon customer and my V3c RAZR has reached the end of its useful life. I haven't decided on a phone yet, but if possible I would like to buy a phone that does not have the Verizon UI on it. If its a Motorola say, I would prefer the software Motorola installed on it as opposed to the Verizon software. I just find it a hassle to have to navigate around all the v-cast and internet stuff. So is this possible or advisable?

Thanks for the input.

This wouldn't be possible in less you code your own software and then somehow get is approved by verizon to use on their network.

Well I hope that with this "open" network that things like this might happen.

With Verizon that's unlikely.
