Upgrades?

I have the Venus, and ever since I've had it, there has been sound problems, and not to mention how terrible and incomplete the software is. I want to trade in for a completely new phone, but will Verizon make me downgrade, or is there some kind of loophole that can get me a newer model (Like the Dare, or Voyager) for a cheaper price, or free?

Also, what are the fees for canceling service?

note: My two year contract won't renew until late 2009..

Re: Upgrades?

I was having trouble with my enV it kept shuting off a lot so I took it back and they gave me a new one, after the third time I think they give you a phone of your choice, not totally sure though, but Id try that..

Ellen hit the upgrade answers right on the head. Also I would like to throw in if you are really having problems have you tried to get a warranty replacement?

Re: Upgrades?

Hm, thanks everyone.

Yeah, I have replaced it twice (the first time because the music player did not truly play the tracks at random, and still doesn't / the second because it was stolen), but everything is still problematic...

@ Ellen: Considering that Venus is capable of 8gb microSD, I would most likely not get downgraded to an older phone, correct?
