How to download music from PC to Voyager

I just received a LG Voyager and I was told my the salesman that I needed the music kit to download songs off my computer to the phone....I had a friend that said he thought it could be done without the purchase of the music software...can anyone walk me through this process or do I need the music software...thanks.

I just got a LG Voyager too.
I just figured it out
1. install the USB driver that came with the phone on the CD, just the driver not the "vcast" program.
2. plug in your phone, under settings and tools go to the USB msass storage option(you must have a microSD card installed in the phone)
3. The phone should show up as a removeable drive on your computer. copy any MP3s or WMA's you want to the phones "my_music" folder
4. at this point they should show up on your phone

You might say that MicroSD's are to expensive but I bought mine on sale for $5 for a 2gig, I actually saw them pop up about 2 months ago on woot, but I bought them knowing they were a killer deal and I would find a use for them. Now I bought my phone 2 days ago and I have a use for one ... I used the other in the digital camera I bought last week.

also...one cd came with the phone called vcast music with rhapsody..is that the cd you are talking about

ya its on there, when you pop in the cd you will get two options. One is for teh vcast, the other is for the USB driver.

wow.... so VZW didnt actually disable the USB device on that phone? im surprized.

you shouldn't need the drivers at all if you are not opposed to taking the card out of the phone (after formatting it IN the phone). just put the card into a microSD adapter, then place that adapter into a card reader on your PC. (make sure not to slide the read only lock when you do that)

then you just transfer the music from the PC to the card. This should be a bit faster transfer than going through the phone's hardware.

Well i have an LG Voyager aswell but i dont want to waste my money on songs from verizon that are like 3 dollars a piece so i found an easy way to get your itunes music on it. First you get a micro sd card for your phone and purchase a usb micro sd card reader for about $5 to $10. You then plug that into your computer with the micro sd card inside it. You then go to my computer and then music. You can drag and drop whatever songs you want to the sd card icon. Once thats done you put the sd card in your phone and your done, you have totally free music on your LG Voyager!!!

Can you tell me that in english please!!! I was hoping I could load music just like my iPod..plug it in and the computer does the rest!

Once plugged into the PC (with the card inserted), double-click the PC's My Computer icon and you will see it as another drive with its own drive letter (e.g., E: or F: ). You will be able to drag-and-drop music files (probably MP3s) from your C: drive (from wherever you have them stored) right onto the new drive.
