Vtext account

I am a single father. Is anyone here familiar with the Vtext account? I have an ex-girlfriend that is a stalker with serious psych problems. There are good reasons she is an ex. I've discovered someone, not me, I'm sure it was her, signed me up for this service and has been receiving copies of my text messages for probably several years. The local Verizonwireless store confirmed this but refuse to tell me when the account was created and what email address my text messages were being forwarded to. The manager says I have to have a subpeona to obtain the information although it is my account. The local police aren't interested. This has turned into a serious security problem as this person is also a computer hacker/spammer, a drug abuser, and has actually been outside my home at night when I am not there. Any ideas or help is appreciated.

It is NOT possible to use the vtext website to receive copies or fowards of your text messages. This information you was given is incorrect. vtext is used to send text messages from the internet to a phone. If you signed up for verizonwireless.com myaccount you have a vtext account. Its all in one.

Re: Vtext account

That is not what the manager at Verizon told me. She showed me how a text message is forwarded to an email address and explained how it could have been set up.

Then what you should do is call Verizon Customer Service and explain the situation and ask for a new telephone number. In a case like this, I'm sure they would be happy to. I had someone who kept calling me and they said that they could change it without a problem. Also, depending on the phone, you can block it so only people in your address book can text you and you can only send ones to people in your contact list.

I work for Verizon Wireless Tier 3 Technical Support....again this is not possible no matter what she told you. You can not set your text messages to be forwarded to a email address.

Re: Vtext account

I'm just telling you what I was told. In about 2005 the soon to be ex asked me if I knew what the vtext account was because she was going to use it to monitor her sons phone calls and text messages. The soon to be ex also had verizon wireless. This ex has admitted in emails that she "has my text messages." She would show up at places that the only way she knew I would be there by my text messages. She would send me hateful threatening text messages within five minutes of me texting someone else. When I finally realized what was going on was more than coincidence I called verizon. The tech at verizon told me my ex could have gone to the vtext website, requested a password to set up the account, verizon would have sent a temporary password to my cell phone, the ex would take that password number and enter it into the website to open the account, once the account was open change the password to only one that she knew and direct my text messages I sent to her email account. He told me this is a method parents track their children's text messages. I caught the soon to be ex on my cell phone going through my calls and text messages several times. I promise I am not arguing with you but I don't have a clue here. But the verizon store manager confirmed I had a vtext account the day after I changed the password. She said someone was already trying to access the account but couldn't because the password was changed. Like I said, I didn't even know I had a vtext account. The local police detective talked to the manager and he confirmed the account had been created and advised me to just change my phone number. Does this make sense? Thanks for the help. MTH

Re: Vtext account

I spent a few hours at the verizonwireless store again. Yes you can have messages you receive forwarded to another phone number or email address. But messages you send out cannot be forwarded to another address. Now how to prove it? Any ideas?
