Blitz Contacts

I just got the Blitz. I did have the Samson-A930 in which I backed up the phone with BitPim. Verizon said there was no way to transfer contacts now after I got the phone. Before we got to phone we asked and they said no problems. Now that we do have them and want to transfer them they said it cant be done but to re-enter the numbers. Is there any other way to do this with the old data from BitPim on the old phone?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Blitz Contacts

i dont think that BitPim has support for the Blitz, so that would be a no go.

Re: Blitz Contacts

Well it depends on how much trouble you want to go through. You should be able to use VZW's Backup Assistant(BA). What you would have to do is log into MyVerizon(This makes BA free). Go to the upgrade/activate phone section and switch the esn to your old phone and then send BA to the phone. This will save all your contacts to Verizon's server. Then reconnect your blitz to the account like you did your old phone, and send BA to it. When you run the program on it, it should recognize the numbers sent from the old phone and send them to the blitz.

In my opinion though, with the blitz's qwerty keyboard, it would just be easier to type them in...

BTW was the person that dealt with you at the store a moron, or is your old phone damaged. Because all they have to do is hook it to their Cellbright machine and they can transfer the numbers. If the phone is working and the charging port is undamaged, they should have no problem. I did one the other day for a customer.
