Think I got scre*ed by going to verizon retail store

So I went to a verizon store today to check out phones and to get my company discount

I had the new every 2 $50 discount along with a coupon I got in the mail that said $30 off a new phone or extra 50 minutes a month for your contract.

So I first get my 20% off company discount applied to account then say im ready for new phone, will I get same discounts here as online and am told yes. So I look at phones and picked out the LG Voyager, I started talking about plans and ended up upgrading to premium from basic for mobil web and the verizon navigator feature, only costs me 63.99 month with discount.

So checking out he tells me that the $30 off coupon can't be used I can only get the extra minutes and that my corporate rate for the phone is $219.99 $20 higher than tag, and that the $70 rebate counts as discounts or something. I cant remember what total charge was but I think was like 170, I had it charged to account and now cant bring it up online.

SO I just went online to verizon site and see the phones 199.99 and I am thinking this guy at store didnt give me the new every 2 discount or renewal discount and that the I cant use $30 coupon was BS.

Can I call verizon and make sure all discounts were applied and see what coupon story is? I want to just go return the phone and go online and order it but I dont know if my new every 2 discount etc.. will still be good.

So I called verizon, turns out the coupon couldn't be used with the new every two deal but they said they would give me the extra minutes for being a customer for so long.

Ended up paying 178 for the phone and getting 70 back on rebate, still seems like it would of been cheaper to of ordered it online but to late now.

Guess I learned my lesson not to look for phones with girlfriend after a long day of work

Normally the online discount you see will not apply at the brick-and mortar stores ... that's why they give you the rebate. Admittedly, it does get confusing when comparing the plans and their features.

this year i used the online for the first time ever. its all i'll use again

i got my omnia 169.99 - 70 online rebate = 99.99 -50% for going to F&F = 49.99-50 ne2 = 0.

in store it it woulda been 269.99 -50 ne2 for 219.99.

ordered @ 3pm thursday, had it at 10am on friday, working 10 min later

So it turns out I did get screwed by going to a verizon retail store

\I went back today to exchange my LG Voyager for the new LG Voyager the enV Touch. Apparently the jack A** I originally dealt didn't give me all discounts.

Even after having to pay a $35 restock fee I ended up getting money refunded to my account before I walked out of the store. This time I went without my girlfriend and went online beforehand so I new exactly what I could get the phone for online.

The guy I dealt with today seemed like a good guy, should of trusted my gut the first time. Was just somethin about the salesman I didnt like when I bought the LG Voyager

The touch is a much nicer phone to boot
