Thinkin of switching to Verizon

Hi,
I've been thinking of switching phone providers and Verizon is on my list(uscelluar, boost, att)are among the others. I've always heard good things about Verizon and they seem to be the 'it' company right now.
I currently have Virgin Mobile as my provider as they are an okay company the reception seems to drop out at times depending where I'm at.
I hardly use phone(maybe in spurts),and I text a tad more than I talk. Is their prepaid plans like everyone elses that u have to keep adding money every month to keep account active? I know there are a few providers that u can just add every 90days,but seems their phones aren't great.
There are just soo many prepaid plans out there its hard to follow them all and keep it straight. I just trying to look for a good provider with a good reputation, but being in my budget.

All the providers you listed require you to add a card every so many months, depending on how much money the card is.

Verizon Wireless offers good plan "options" compared to probably any other prepaid carrier. Due to the superior network, pricing isn't all that cheap and the cheapest prepaid card you can add is $30 valid for 90 days.

I've had T-Mobile, ATT, and Verizon. Verizon has been the nest hands down. Even during the blackout in 2006, Verizon was the only company that recieved service in NYC. For me, its a no brainer...

Re: Thinkin of switching to Verizon

On those pay for the days u use the phone, does that mean just sending calls or receiving calls? Does getting or sending texting count as the usage as well? I never really paid much attention to how that really works. I was always skeptical of the daily access fee plans as u could run up a bill pretty quick especially if they counted receiving calls part of the fee.
The one other issue with Verizon is their choice of prepaid phones. I like the Blitz for the keypad, but it looks so dang cheap.

Re: Thinkin of switching to Verizon

It's only when a call "connects".

Texting does not count for daily access.
