Need to know by tomorrow if possible. I work int he coast guard and we lose signal on a reg basis out onthe water. We have a cell phone antenna that used to be great with our phones. But now the new phones don't seem to want to offer these. Do you have any idea if there are still phones avaiable that have a port for an external antenna?

If not, what phone offers the best reception for KY on the Ohio river?

See More: Do ANY of the new phone have an external antenna jack?

Personally, I haven't heard of any.

It really depends on what city he is in...the Ohio river is pretty big.

For example, Verizon Wireless covers 90% or more of Kentucky...but they do have a couple black spots. AT&T has a lot of spotty areas and T-Mobile barely covers it. I didn't check Sprint PCS, but I'm almost certain they will cover about the same amount as Verizon. It's not so much a phone issue...more of a carrier issue.

I'm right outside of Louisville KY in Prospect. It's supposedly covered. The phone works many places but not in the marina and not in other areas on the river.

Do any phones stick out as offering better reception? I don't want to spend theextra $300 TO BUY A WILSON ELECTRONICS wireless amplifier.

    Any info is appreciated.
