Okay, so my brother just got a new Galaxy S III today and we got the activated at verizon. Now my mom has decided that she would like to use my brothers old phone (samsung intensity) instead of her current one(old flip phone). If not then i can do it at work tomorrow, but I'd like to look awesome and do it at home tonight.

Re: Moving Phone Number to new phone
If you're switching phones that is called an ESN Change. You can call Verizon Wireless and ask them to do it for you. There might be a charge, but you can try asking them to waive it.

That's great support from Best Buy! I haven't had much experience with Best Buy Mobile myself, but I have seen advertisements where they explain the quality of service they provide. That's a great reason to purchase from Best Buy. It means a lot when a company will stand behind the products they offer.
Thanks for the update.

Yeah we're pretty cool over at bestbuy. The thing that surprises me so far is how much we will do for free over in bby mobile.

Re: Moving Phone Number to new phone
That's great because a lot of people don't want to need to transfer all of the data over, so if someone will do it for them that can really help. It's getting easier with Android though because contacts are backed up on Google's servers and they'll be restored on a new phone automatically, which is nice.

Re: Moving Phone Number to new phone
Verizon will usually do all of that for free as well. You don't have to pay to switch hardware if you are providing it. I don't have a lot of experience with Best Buy Mobile, but I am glad to hear that they have good service there.

Re: Moving Phone Number to new phone
It might vary depending on the store you go to. Some might be more willing to help than others. Especially authorized dealers because they want you to bring them more business.
