Samsung Galaxy S III with a 3g data plan

I am needing to replace my current 3g cell phone as it is on the verge of going kaput however I am several months out from 'qualifying' for an upgrade.

I was looking at replacing it with the Samsung Galaxy SIII, however, i currently only have a 3g data plan.

Can I actrivate and use the Galaxy III in 3g only mode without the need to modify the data plan?

The data plan will automatically update when you get a new phone. So you'll have to choose how much data you want. If you only need 2gb then then the price will stay the same (assuming you're moving from the old unlimited data plan).
