If you're on one of the old Beyond Talk plans, before Virgin Mobile updated the pricing (raising the 300 minute and 1,200 minute plan, while lowering the cost of the unlimited minute plan), you're in danger of losing your plan!
Virgin Mobile sent a text message explaining after May 27th, 2012, those who switch to another smartphone will lose their old Beyond Talk plan, and will be required to switch to one of the new Beyond Talk plans.
The text message puts it this way: "Starting 5/27/12, new smartphones will be subject to current plan rates. This will apply if you switch phones."
If you're thinking about switching phones, you probably should do that now. You also might want to get insurance on your new phone. It didn't say whether or not it will apply if a phone is broken, lost, or stolen.

If you have a samsung intercept, motorola triumph, or any phone they currently sell, you can buy another motorola triumph, samsung intercept, etc and stay on the $25/mo plan. But if you buy a phone they "launch" in May 2012 or later, you will lose your plan if you switch.
So you aren't stuck on your current phone, but you are stuck on the older technology. In July, if VM is still selling them, you'll be able to buy a brand new Motorola Triumph and keep your plan. But you won't be able to buy the Android 4.0 devices they're probably about to launch.
