Vodafone has expanded their line of their own brand phones by announcing two smartphones; Vodafone 945 and Vodafone 553.

Vodafone's smartphone 945 features:

* Android 2.1
* a 3.2-inch WQVGA (240×400) capacitive touchscreen
* HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth
* 5 megapixel camera with flash
* 300 MB internal memory, microSD card slot
* Colors: black or silver

The second Vodafone smartphone is the 553, which is a touch plus QWERTY handset that is budget friendly and offers:

2.8-inch touchscreen
Side -sliding full QWERTY keyboard
Opera Mini 5 preinstalled
Vodafone’s 360 People address book.
2MP camera
Bluetooth
FM radio
microSD card slot

Price and launch date have not been mentioned but it's expected that these phones should launch before the holidays. The Vodafone 553 will be more of a pre-pay/pay as you go phone.
