While speaking on the subject of internet video content and it's
possibilities as a new viable format for mass media, Walt Mossberg went
on record as saying the 3G iPhone will be released "in 60 days." It's
not yet known if he actually has one or not, but he does get to test new
products far in advance, so chances are good that he's right.

So, the only question that remains is whether watching video on a
postage stamp-size screen of a sellfone is worth the expense.

One reason the iPhone is selling in the millions is its as yet
unduplicated 3 1/2 inch screen.
Larger even than almost all souvenir stamp sheets.

Does this mean we can expect to see "millions" of you guys walking down the
streets with your 3 1/2 inch screens pressed against your foreheads...

I hope he is right but he has been wrong before. I would not count on
it in 60 days until Apple announces it. Posting rumors like it is a
fact diminishes you.

It isn't. Been there, done that.
www.mobitv.com
On the 4+ inch screen of an iPhone, it's not bad at all, except for the low
iphone resolution. On the 800 pixel wide Nokia N800 screen, it's
beautiful! I get constant comments, even from the few iPhoners I meet, how
great the pictures look on DivX movies, recorded HDTV downloaded from
Usenet.
I had Alltel Axcess TV on the Motorola E815's little screen and on the
newer MotoROKR Z6m. The E815 was little, but you could almost read the
crawlers. The idiots at MobiTV failed, miserably, on the Z6m because it
operates in portrait mode with most of the tiny screen taken up with logo
graphic nonsense and channel graphics. The actual picture is smaller than
your thumbnail and is totally unwatchable, a waste of time.
I told 'em I'd buy it again when there's LANDSCAPE MODE. It's been a year.
They're not interested in improving the product........pity.

where have you been if i buy a car at the beginning of the model year
and my friend buys it at the end much cheaper than me did i get
screwed? of course not i got to drive mine for 9 months
btw how can apple screw you? your iphone 1.0 still does everything it
did when you first got it and with the "free" 2.0 software coming it
will do more.
