Google Android browser to have Gears syncing/geolocation
androidguys.com — Hidden Google Gears options show that Android will
have big advantage over iPhone. Normal websites can leverage offline
storage, syncing, and now geolocation access.

Precisely the reason to go with a controlled, but tetherable phone....and
an UNcontrolled, but tetherable computer unmolested by the data carrier
bureaucrats....
Can you imagine the response to this notice:
"From now on, only computers sold by Comcast, with Comcast monitoring
software, will be allowed on the Comcast Internet system."
There'd be riots in the streets!
Then, why is it ok if it's on a sellphone??

One advantage it won't have is with Bluetooth. Looks like they're both
crippled on this regard. At least for now.
