No! It'd run off a small nuclear generator. Maybe a fuel cell, though I
really don't know how it's replenished.

    some point?

I'm guessing he meant it would re-generate electricity from things like the
wheels going around, braking, etc. ... just like all normal cars do to
    recharge their batteries already.

That would be just asking for a fire!!!

Fuel should go in the fuel tank!

I know that you meant well but what you said. . . .

"Normal" (gasoline powered) cars do not generate electricity by braking.
The energy appears as heat which is radiated by fins on the brake drum
or disk. An alternator is used to generate electricity for
charging the battery, operating lights, fans, radio, etc.

Electric cars can use dynamic braking (generates electricity) and I'm
sure that the designers have used it to the maximum possible extent.

How much will Apple sell the adaptor for ? You will need an adaptor to
fit the standard gas station gasoline/petrol nozzles into your iPhone !

Gas stations would have to adapt to a changing customer base, having to
cater to so many teenage girls wanting to refuel their iPhone and
probably start selling lipstick next to 10W30 oil cans :-)

    <snip>

That was one example of a method to (re)generate electricity. I didn't
mean normal cars actually use all of those methods. :-\

$99 for iPhone, $129 for iPad, $299 for Macpro

It'll be only one way, too. Once you load gas onto your iphone, you can't
take it back out over the adapter.

A generator does not use fossil fuel. It may be driven by something
    that does.

In this case, the generator was to be driven by a belt or gear from the
    car's motor.
