If I have a photo-capabable phone with one of the GSM service providers
(T-Mobile, ATT, or Cingular) and another photo-capable phone with a
different provider, will I be able to send the pictures from one phone to
the other? What if one of the phones was a CDMA phone on Verizon? Can I
    send back and forth?

Is the correct question, is MMS transparent across different carriers, even
    with carriers using different technologies?

    Thanks,

Inter-carrier mms doesn't work because the carriers use different
methods of processing the messaging. Anyway the best alternative is
checking out pixtopix.com. The problem is that recipient has to have
an address for it to work.

No to both (won't work across different carriers or technologies). If both
phones support email , you may want to give it a shot, but I know with my
phone (T616), I cannot download email attachments so a web based service
would likely be the only option.

    Not as-is. Try www.pixtopix.com.

    Not entirely true –
If you have Cingular MMS and send a picture to a non Cingular customer
or a Cingular customer without MMS, they will receive a text message
informing them that you have sent a picture. It will include a
passcode and the address for a Cingular webpage where you can view the
    picture.

The only problem is that some carriers (Verizon that I know for sure)
are blocking the test message because they don't want their customers
    going to a Cingular webpage.

That's Odd. My wife's phone doesn't have the MMS plan on it, and mine does.
Upon trying to send her an MMS, she receives nothing. She does have text
    messaging though.
