Stop responding to his stupid comments and rejoinders. If we all give up,
he just might go away-especially since he's never been a Cingular customer
and has no real time experience w/Cingular or the network.

Fair enough. I've been one of the offenders sucked in, and I'll do my
best to ignore him. You and the other regulars on
alt.cellular.sprintpcs (his usual haunt) took a pledge to ignore him a
couple of days ago and already the S/N ratio has improved there.

To copy some of the "talking points" from the sprintpcs group's
    "pledge" written by Joe Gill:

"Let's all resist feeding the trolls this month!

    "Lets all agree:

"1) DO NOT respond directly to any of the trolls!

"2) If anyone sees someone led astray by a troll, address the person
led astray, WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGING THE EXISTANCE of the troll(s).

"3) Irregardless of the poking, prodding, personal snipping, pot-shots
,etc .etc. resist the urge to respond to the troll!"

Somebody (was it you, Chris?) added the excellent suggestion that if
correction of the troll's inane misinformation is necessary, replies
should be to the original post, and not to the troll's. If we all go
along, the lack of replies will allow those using kill filters to
acheve 100% freedom from "He Who Must Not Be Replied To..."

Some like to use more letters, when
fewer will do. Usage does change language,
    sometimes it's ugly.

What do you expect from someone who wants to be the moderator of all of
USENET, and forbid anything negative being said about Cingular.

Wow Phillipe. You are going mad with id changes and aliases this week!
    Job well done!

In my own defense, I was simply quoting the original post in
alt.cellular.sprintpcs. The OP was already raked over the coals there
    for the use of "irregardless."

Irregardless of his use of English... ;-)
.... the suggestion to avoid responding to our pet troll, even if he
switches IDs (even, say, to a yahoo address elsewhere in this same
thread, for example) was certainly a good one.

I wasn't raking, just pointing out the fact that
    language is fluid.

Plus I felt like being a smartass.

Sir, your horse looks a little sick.

"I'll just hit him a little more, he'll get up"

    Oops now it's dead.
