    Cingular replacing messed up v600's

Cingular is replacing Motorola V600's. Well for those who complain. The main issue was not a hardware problem it was a software problem. Apparently, there were many of complaints with calls dropping which led to even more annoying issues. I was one of those complainers. I got into a family plan, purchased to V600's the other one works fine but mine was for crap!!! ha ha ha...my luck!!! Motorola V600's problem was only reported with Cingular. So far there is no other problem with the other carriers that carry this model.

If you are a Cingular customer with a Motorola V600 and you are having issues and you are having problems with your phone, Cingular has set up a seperate line for V600 complaints. Here is the number:
    1-800-201-6235

I talked to them last night around 6pm. I asked for faster delivery which only cost $7.50 and my phone is already here. I'll keep you posted to see if the phone is having anymore problems. Just wanted to let people know if they are having issues with their phone.

    V600 non-recall recall

I just spoke to Cingular customer service AGAIN and they have never had a reponse on this issue until now. They said that sometime in October they will be replacing the phone with a V551. Guess we will see how that works.. Here are the specs I found so far on this phone...
    Motorola V551 announced
The Motorola V551 is a new handset from Motorola that sports EDGE and a thin case. It’s also a quad-band phone so it will be available in North America, Europe and Asia. Other notables are:

    176 x 220 color display with 65K colors
    MP3 ringtones
    Speakerphone
    Bluetooth
This phone is an update to the V500. Look for the Motorola V551 starting in Q4 2004. It will be marketed as the V555 in Europe and Asia.
