    I am on Cingular in Florida. I have 2 phones the older is Nokia 5165 and
    the newer is Nokia 6340i. Although they both work well most of the time,
    neither works well in my house. As I own the house, moving is not an
    option. My contract expires soon and I was wondering if Cingular has a
    phone that would 'push and pull' the signal more effectively. (Work in
    my house).

    No. Your only real options are: (1) external antenna and cable; (2) expensive
    active repeater; or (3) switch to a carrier with better signal.

    John, where would one find '(1) external antenna and cable'? I have not
    found anything like that.

    Thanks, Dave

    Another option- hope that Cingular will place another antenna nearby. It
    happened to me. I had almost no service at home (only worked in one spot in
    one room upstairs). A new antenna went up nearby, and now I get 5 bars
    everywhere.

    * Andrew Corporation

    * CellAntenna Corporation

    * Wilson Electronics

    You need the correct type for your phone.

    FYI, if that happened recently, it was more likely due to the new free roaming
    on ATTWS.

    It was about a year ago, maybe more. I know where the tower went up, but I
    was pleasantly surprised that it was Cingular.

    Just curious, is the 6340i on a GAIT plan where you can pick up analog?

    I don't know. When I look at 'My Plan' there is little to no
    information. It is an old plan that isn't offered any longer.
    Is there a way to 'force' my phone to analog?
