Read the fine print, its not so nice.

Activation fees are only refunded if phone is returned within 3 days.

Then once youre into a regular billing period of a full month,
its not prorated, regardless of when you quit.

It's in the Cingular "Plan Terms" of new brochures now on counters in
    BestBuy.

So you quit after 10 days, you'd pay

$36 Activation fee per line ($18 on Family Talk)

$$ for 5 or 6 days till your account is set up, and no rollover minutes
    for that interval

    $$$$ for a full month.

See More: New 30 day trial for new users.

The actual Cingular Return Policy is posted on-line at
    <http://www.cingular.com/customer_ser...n_phone_return>

Cingular will waive early termination fees for service terminated
within the return period, provided that the device(s) associated with
such service are returned within the return period. Gift and ringtone
cards are not refundable. In the event a customer returns their
device and cancels service within applicable timeframe, all other
charges will apply, but monthly service charges shall be re-rated and
assessed based on the usage and the number of days that the customer
had service. Any consumer that cancels service within 3 days will be
    refunded the activation fees paid.

In other words, after 3 days you are charged only for actual use of the phone,
a perfectly reasonable proposition; i.e., the sky isn't falling.

It's a 30 day trial, as the $150 ETF is waived, but the trial will cost
way over $100 in most cases.

It's a real 30-day "trial" -- meaning you can cancel without penalty (Early
Termination Fee) within the first 30 days. "Free" has nothing to do with it.

30 days is more than enough time. Even just 3 days is useful.

So Navas proclaims, with absolutely NOTHING to back himself up.

Why don't you just go away, Navas? You're like the cockroach that won't
die. You just scurry around like the world revolves around you.

Please tell us, Navas, exactly WHAT charges are in place under the above
scenario? Oh, you don't know? Then you don't know that it's "utter
    nonsense," do you?

    So shut the fsck up.

Navas needs to go into BestBuy, look at the **new** Cingular brochures
and read the "Plan Terms" fine print on the back page.

    Not nonsense, just the facts.

Already did that in a prior post, which I guess you missed. ;-)

    >Why don't you just go away, Navas? ...

Why don't you take your own advice?

    >Please tell us, Navas, exactly WHAT charges are in place under the above

See my prior post. ( You know how to do that, right?

Nope -- likewise anyone else, I can rely on what's posted on-line.

    >Not nonsense, just the facts.

Actually just more of your FUD.
