Is this intellectual theft? I thought the folks that owned this software
wanted one to pay for it.

I don't know which is worse, Posting the news without a link, or
complaining about no link without spending 30 seconds Googling:
"Mobile Phone Tools v3.11h download"
l.Retail.rar>
is a live link.
It's been posted since November 30, and as a RAR file its 27.3 Meg

It's hilarious, Navas, that you completely missed the "source" of this
thread.

Re: Heads Up! ---> Mobile Phone Tools v3.11h - US English Version <---
But if you already own an older version, you're entitled to free
upgrade, and it IS easier to let it upgrade itself using the built in
"Live Update" feature. No need, nor is it easier, to get it from a 3rd
party.
Let's stop the contrived justifications and just be honest here - the
link is for those who want to use it without buying it. Same people who
feel entitled to see two (or more) movies for the price of one at a
mutiplex theater or steal the newspaper off your front lawn. Little
chance of getting caught so why not, right?

You mean the childish impersonator using a mail-to-news gateway?
The authenticity of my actual posts is easily verified by the originating ISP.

The authenticity of your posts is easily verified by the fact that
NOBODY would talk like, write like, or do what you do.
Thank God.

Re: Heads Up! ---> Mobile Phone Tools v3.11h - US English Version <---
It's standard in Mobile Phone Tools. Check the CD, maybe you need to
reinstall and select it (I don't remember). Whenever I open MPT, a
dialog box called "Live Update" opens and checks for new versions. I
just now did it and it found and installed an upgrade from 3.19 to
3.19e. The CD I got, which was bundled with the v600 I bought in March
'04, contains an earlier version, 2.11 I think, and I've been
automatically updated ever since. If you have version 1.xx, you'll need
to install version 2.xx over it and then it will update to the latest.

Thanks for the link very useful. And I did a fair bit of searching before I
asked. All I could find was the software bundles with bluetooth adapters
which I dont need as I have a data cable. So yes I did search first but
again thanks for the link

So let me get this straight. You got yours free with your phone, but
now that they've decided to screw people by not giving it away with
the phone, it's stealing to try to get it for free. I see.
When I bought my phone it never occurred to me that software necessary
to use many of the features would not be included. I actually did buy
the software, or, more exactly, it came with a required cable that was
also not included with the phone. But if folks get it for free, that
is fine by me.

I had already posted an impersonation notice, but of course you missed that in
your haste to be a jerk. ;-)
