Greetings,
I was looking to get a V551, but have been reading various reviews of it,
and found some negatives, including "not so great" EDGE support.
That set me off on a search for a side-by-side comparison of various
phones that support EDGE, but so far, I haven't found anything
current.
If anyone has either pointers to something like this, or opinions on
which phone has good EDGE support, that'd be great. Bonus points if
info on compatibility with Mac OS X applications is included.
Thanks.

Correct -- it only has EDGE Class 4, which is only half as fast as EDGE Class
10.

I've posted such comparisons to this newsgroup.

What bonus points? Where are the speeds? Where is the EDGE info? Did you
even read the question?!

Again, "Google is your friend."

2nd link (others are useful)
p.s. Please don't switch posting styles (top vs bottom) in mid-thread -- it's
confusing, and considered a bit rude. Thanks.
