I realize that when you are using the speakerphone the V551 it senses this
and will not hang-up if you close the phone so you can continue the
conversation. My question is this. On the flip side (pardon the pun) is
there anyway you can hang-up the phone when you are through without opening
the phone?
Thanks... Fred

Re: V551 Speakerphone Question Please
I haven't found a way to end the call first with the phone closed... but
when the other party hangs up the call is disconnected

I've been monitoring it and sometimes the call does disconnect right away
when the other person hang up.

If you hold the button bellow the volume one ( sorry don't know the name
) for a sec. or so it will hangup.

That button is known as the "smart button". I occasionally see very
useful tips on the smart button such as this one...
"you can actually adjust your ring style in meetings and other such
quiet situations without opening the phone and lowering the volume one
bar at a time. you'd be surprised what the left side "smart" and
"up/down" keys on the phone's external can do, including cycling through
customizeable ring styles and missed calls. try hitting one of the
up/down buttons (until it says "ring style: loud" or whatever), then
press the smart key until it cycles to the one you want. press the up or
down key once again to make the screen show the time again. "
