Just wondering if anyone else has this problem:

My GF and I both have Motorola V400s on a FamilyTalk GSM plan in
Philadelphia. We both have significant trouble receiving international phone
calls; when someone dials from abroad, they are greeted with a message
stating that the customer is not available at that particular time. Only one
in about 30 redials actually goes through. Please note that we have
established that this is and actual pattern and not a series of flukes; I
asked several friends in different countries using different phone providers
(both fixed and cell) to call me at specific times when I knew that my phone
was on and had perfect reception (and no problem receiving local/national
calls), and they all reported back with this same problem.

I have contacted Cingular about this several times, and I've yet to receive
any advice, support, or suggestions. This problem seems to me to be more
network-based rather than phone-based; however I do not have another model
phone to test and none of my friends in the immediate vicinity has an
unlocked phone which will work with my SIM.

Does anybody have any experience with this problem and/or any suggestions to
make? Any comment would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Edoardo
