    I think you need a separate ISP for CSD.

    I've had very good success with freedialup.org as a free ISP. They
    provide a selection of dial-up numbers for free. They support all but
    smtp ports so you need to use some kind of web email interface. Http,
    https, telnet, ftp, etc are just fine.

    There seem to be no strings attached to the service.

    Not if you have the $20 (old, $25 new) unlimited plan. You pay only that for
    GPRS ... no minutes, no data charges, etc mornings, nights, weekends, etc.
    The only way you pay for data on GPRS is if you do the free pay-per-kb or go
    over on a limited data package. The unlimited package covers all data
    charges for the flat rate.
