I just got my wife, her parents and myself new cell phones from Cingular.
Can I register them all myself or does each person need to do it? Neither my
wife nor my in-laws are tech savvy. I think it would be faster if I did it
myself. Does Cingular need any private information from either of them? SSN
#'s or anything? We already have the phone numbers set up (wife and myself
have previous accounts with AT&T and we kept our numbers. I selected one for
her parents when I ordered their phone).

Good luck...the account is in your name so you should be able to do all the
phones.....on the other hand Cingular has by far the worst customer service
I ever experienced and don't expect help.........I spent well over 8 weeks
and four reps who all stated they could help the mess my transition from
AT&TO cingular caused...............I finally got a response from the last
rep and he said to got to e-bay and get another phone....worst service I
ever saw and I am stuck for the time being.................lest I pay them
more $ to get out of the contract...PLEASE if you aren't
Cingular.......don't go there...they promise everything then forget who you
are or what they said.................absolutely the worst

If they are all in your name, then they need no information from anyone who is using the other phones. Just call Cingular Customer Service or go into your local Cingular store to set them up.
