I recently had my V600 from ATT unlocked so I could give it to my son who
has Cingular service. Although the phone works, the firmware is still ATT,
meaning there is still Mmode, etc. Also the volume on the earpiece is very
low although it is set to its highest setting. Any suggestions?

    Thanks so much.

If you can get to the "Web sessions" menu, it would be possible to
manually add the Cingular WAP settings ... or have them sent to your phone
from the website in a text message.

IIRC you can change the volume using a seem edit. See
