My daughter just killed her Nokia AT&T GSM phone. Cingular won't sell her a
new AT&T phone - they want to switch her to Cingular plan. She likes AT&T
plan she is on, and doesn't want to switch.

I have an old Cingular GSM Ericsson T28z that is at least three or four
years old. Wondering if anyone knows if her sim card will fire up this phone
on AT&T? I could send her the phone to try, but won't waste the time if we
can determine beforehand that it isn't going to work.

If phone will work with an unlock, what's involved in getting it unlocked?

    Thanks!

    AT&T always sold locked phones.

    Try Googling.

Ericsson was a Cingular phone - not AT&T.
