What are people's opinion of the razr? Black or silver, doesn't matter
unless they perform differently. Just looking for some user feedback and
thoughts, especially since it is so cheap to get now.

I love mine. No difference between the black & silver other than color.
The form factor is the main thing that sets it apart. Feature wise it is
almost a carbon copy of the V551 with a little larger screen. I love the
size though (it's actually taller & wider than the 551 though).

Functionally they perform exactly the same. I tried both and stuck with
the black version. FWIW, exterior-wise the black looks nicer at least
in my opinion, but has a finish that's soft to the touch. I get the
feeling it might be more susceptible to scratches than the silver
version. The black finish also seems to collect fingerprints a lot more
    easily.

I'm very happy with mine. It get excellent reception, has worked very
reliably, battery life has been wonderful (especially for such a thin
form factor) and feels just right in my hand. The keypad takes a little
getting used to, but it feels just fine once you've used it a while.

Two drawbacks I've encountered: first, sometimes the interface is a
little slow, though not terribly slow. It's just responsive enough to
keep up with the speed at which I dial, and I've had to put up with
phones in the past that can't even do that. Second, the earpiece volume
doesn't go as loud as I'd like it to in some cases. There isn't a cell
carrier I've subscribed to yet that seems to know how to balance out the
volume levels in some phone calls; so I always experience some calls
that have incredibly loud audio (and can be adjusted with low volume),
some that are just right, and others with really soft audio that I can't
turn up quite enough with the RAZR to compensate. This problem gets
resolved by using a bluetooth headset though (most can crank up the
audio beyond what the phone is outputting).

Oh, one last drawback: no EDGE data, it's Class 10 GPRS only. This was
almost a deal breaker for me, and I would've passed on the RAZR because
of it if it werent' for the fact that the phone itself looks so nice and
the features work so well. Even so, I'm still thinking about buying a
V551 JUST because it has EDGE, and then swapping my SIM card between the
    two phones as appropriate.

Love mine. Even my wife, who is picky as hell about phones loves it.
She wasn't going to change until she saw mine, then she had to have
it. Once she used it she was sold.

I find the volume acceptable, but could be better. Speaker phone is
wonderful. Ease of use is o.k. to good. Charge lasts a long time,
    not dropping calls at all.

I use the leatehr case for mine and I think it's great.
