    Re: How to set V3 to ignore calls?

    Hello "cyberwasp" & all;

    ....
    >> G'day all. A quick question, is it possible to set a RAZR to

    >> all calls that are from numbers that aren't in the PB?

    ....

    > only lets the phone ring to calls that are in the address book. If

    Yep. Looks that way. I'll be the first to admit that I've not
    figured out all of the bells & whistles in the durn thang. But that
    kind of "simple", "ordinary", "typical" functionality seems to be
    missing. I guess it was far more important to get all of those
    media connections and other "important" features into it...never
    mind that it's still a phone. And folks use it to call others...
    <big sigh!>

    Sometimes I'm beginning to feel like the technology is passing me
    by...never a good thing to feel when one likes to think that they're
    in and involved with the leading edge of "stuff"... <bigger sigh!>

    Thanks anyway for your help, "cyberwasp"...

    Best brace yourself. The next six months are really exciting times for
    technology releases.

    Else, you might want to consider 'cocooning' like my sister in Las Vegas.
    They chose the arts of technology they like as per HDTV, Internet, online
    gaming, music downloads; discarded all else like cell phones, GPS, MIDI,
    etc.

    Heres a way to do it... I have no idea why it works but I found this on another forum while searching and my g/f tried it on her RAZR and it works...

    Go to phonebook, click the menu button and go to add a new #, go to the field to add a new phone number and press the menu button... it should give you an option to add a pause ("p")... the p is the only thing you want in the phone number field dont add anything else... you can then set the name of that entry to "Private Number" or "Don't Answer" or whatever else you would like... then set the ringtone for this entry to SILENT...

    should work just fine...

    Also worth noting if you don't have the option to make individual ringtones for your entries it is because you are saving the entries onto the SIM card rather than the phone... to fix this just save the entry onto the phone and you will have all the personalized settings for each phone number available to you (such as ringtone, picture, etc)

    Very interesting, "minig0d". I'm gong to have to fool with that and
    give it a try...

    Thanks!
