Cingular has been experiencing data problems here in the San Francisco Bay
Area for the past week, and no resolution date is yet available. Symptoms are
periods of erratic speed with long pauses. Yesterday there was a complete
outage (connections but no data flowing) of about two hours in at least some
parts of the East Bay. My guess is that this is probably related to the turn
on and rollout today of BroadbandConnect (HSDPA) high-speed data service.

Data problems again this month in Northern California, this time a complete
data outage in at least large parts of the San Francisco East Bay. The
problem has persisted for about two days, and isn't expected to be fixed for
another day. Overall this makes December 2005 a poor month for Cingular data
    service here.

Data service (MEdia Net) is now restored.

    Best holiday wishes,

Data service (MEdia Net) went out again today here in Northern California.
It's now back up after an outage of a couple of hours.

When I called to report the problem, I was given a 2 month credit on my data
package for data problems this month (i.e., data is free for me this month and
    next).
