I just took a chance and ordered a data cable/software suite on ebay from
cellularoasis (www.cellularoasis.com) for my Samsung x497 phone. It arrived
2 weeks late (I live less than 200 mi away from thier store) and wont answer
any emails, ebay messages etc. to add insult to injury, they have sent the
wrong item, for a e335, not my x407. I have attempted to contact them again,
they dont reply at all. I just want to warn anyone as they are the prevalent
seller of this kit for the x497 on ebay. I am out $32. and now have to find
some personal time to dispute this for a refund if I can. What a bad
    experience, no fun.

    (empahsis mine)

Well, I hope you learned your lesson.

And that's right, everytime you try and get something from EG^HBay you
"take a chance". EBay is a scammer's paradise.

My sister is a power seller on ebay, shes one of the good ones, not everyone
is a scammer. I have had good luck with purchases until my encounter with
cellularoasis. My lesson: check seller's ratings, one complaint is too many,
these guys have hundreds of complaints.

He never said everyone is a scammer. He said when you buy things on
EBAY, you're taking chances. And I agree. But more than that, IMHO,
when you buy on EBAY, you take a risk that is unacceptable. Of
    course, YMMV.

I'm sure there a few good apples on EBAY along with the rotten ones.

I just wanted to warn others here as this company seems to be the primary
cellular accessory seller espccially for data cables on ebay and they are
    one of the bad apples.

Who is "He"? Do you mean "You"? Who the hell are you agreeing with,
    yourself?

It's obvious from your past posts that you've got a grudge against eBay for
some reason - that's your problem. I've *never* had a problem with any
transactions on eBay, unlike a couple of other businesses.

Your blanket condemnation of eBay simply removes any credibility you may
have, which is not much considering you post under "Anonymous", and probably
don't even get email at the address you use.

Not as many as the rotten buyers, probably.

That's both nasty and unwarranted -- a different POV doesn't make someone a
"SHILL". My own experience, and apparently that of most people, is that eBay
can be quite good if reasonable prudence is exercised. (Perhaps you failed to
exercise reasonable prudence.) Just as there are some sleazy eBay sellers,
there are also some sleazy online retailers, but those bad apples don't spoil
    the entire barrel.

Nope. He tried ripping me a new one because I said when you go with
EBAY you take IMHO unnecessary chances.

He said I made a "BLANKET CONDEMNATION" of EBAY, which I did not. What
I wrote is there in BLACK and WHITE and ELECTRONS. IMHO, buying
things on Ebay is too risky becuase there are IMHO way way too many
scammers on Ebay. "Too many" is based on MY comfort level.

I am very comfortable with the fact that if I buy something at Best
Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, etc. that I am NOT going to get scammed. I
know where they are, and that they are backed by a big corporation
that will be fair to me. Refunds or exchanges will be a relatively
    painless experience.

Ebay is IMHO basically just a middle-man for auctions that take no
action against scammers ("negative feedback" and a $0.25 will buy you
a cheap cup of coffee), but they always take their percentage of the
    sale!

And don't even get me started on PayPal!

Come on John, you are normally a very intelligent person. This guy
apparently has a problem because I think EBay sucks. And I put IMHO
and YMMV in there to make it crystal clear to everyone this is MY
    opinion and others may differ.

This is getting WAY off topic for the thread so I'm done here. I've
made my opinion pretty clear here.

    Have you tried this?
    http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/know-seller-contact.html
it will give you a phone number to call the seller.
    if that doesn't work
    report him as fraud

You seem to be posting under multiple names, and quoting youself. Maybe if
you'd learn to post, and use one name, you'd make sense, but so far you
don't do either. And you keep posting the same crap, which was my point.
