Can I activate the Fastforward mode without plugging into the FF Cradle? I
would like to setup additional phone numbers for FF while i'm on the road. I
know that you can cancle the FF without the cradle via dialing fron the
keypad.
Does anybody know the code to setup a new number without the FF cradle?

There is no "fastforward mode" -- it's just standard forwarding --
"immediate" in the case of the cradle. When you subscribe to
Fastforward you're really just adding a standard feature "unlimited call
forwarding for $2.99/mo" -- all the fastforward device does is talk to
the phone and dial the "cf1/cf2/cf3" numbers in memory and send the
cancel all command when you push the button. People on this group and
on howardforums.com report using it all the time without the cradle.
From http://www.cingular.com/customer_service/fast_forward
"To use FastForward, you will need a compatible phone, cradle/charger
($9.99 plus shipping and handling), and unlimited Call Forwarding ($2.99
per month) on your account."
See http://www.cingular.com/customer_ser...all_forwarding
for the various methods and codes for forwarding. AFAIK once you have
the unlimited CF feature all of the forwarding options--not just
immedidate--can be used without using regular minutes or incurring
special CF fees.

Re: Fast Forward for V551 (fastforward mode)
Thanks for the link info to howardforums.com I found this code that works
fine with my motorolla to Fast Foward without the cradle:
GSM Codes
**21*PhoneNumber#
Register and activate divert all calls to
for example: **21*2015551212#
Will forward your calls to 201-555-1212 PhoneNumber
Others:
#21# Deactivate divert all calls (cancels)
*#21# Check status of divert all calls
Data Call forwarding:
**21*1(your area code)*25#
**21*1562*25#
If you have CSD or WI; and have gotten those annoying DATA CALLS?
Put an end to it... with this code...
