True. There are a lot more people using Usenet, without realizing that
they are using Usenet. Dejanews, which was was acquired by Google and
turned into Google Groups, was the first web front end to Usenet, AFAIK,
but now there seem to be a large number of web links to specific
newsgroups where people can post without having the slightest idea of
    what Usenet is.

It's still pretty low. There are all the make money scams, which are
easily filtered out. Filter out the racism and obscenities, and the S/N
ratio goes way up. Filter out certain posters that shill for specific
corporations, and it goes up even more.

Gomjabber, there is no moderator here as this is not a moderated group.
In other words, this is anarchy. Prepare to defend your self

of course you're correct. navas is often committed to obstinately
defending his ignorance and fairly creative at coming up with reasons
to explain why he is right and facts are wrong. i didn't see a reason
    to bother correcting him again.

    Mr. Navas,

Do you plan on responding to my field-report showing your claim to be
    less than accurate?

Did you miss the quotation marks?

I'm kind of hoping that the AT&T acquisition of Bell South is successful
since Cingular will then change its name to AT&T Wireless. This means
that the Usenet group alt.cellular.attws will once again be active, and
    the alt.cellular.cingular group will disappear.

LOL...and Lord Vader thinks I'm the only one that has a personal hard on
    for Navas.
