Starting around Wed of last week, I noticed that whenever I call a number
(no matter what number I call) I see under the "calling 555-1212" It also
now says "Forwarding On".
I have no ideal what this means. I understand I have call forwarding if I
receive a call, but why is it ever number I call now says "Forwarding on" ?
As far as I can remember, I haven't made any changes to my phone settings.
Is this something, I need to call Cingular about ( I so dread talking to
them) or is this some phone setting that I can't figure out.
Phone is a V3, Plan is the Nation 900
Thanks
Dale

Did not specifically notice its absence prior to Wednesday of last week?
It probably was there all along.

It means incoming calls are forwarded to voice mail while you are making
an outgoing call. That is normally the default arrangement.

Oh I've had the phone and service since August, I would have definitely
noticed by now, if it ever said it before. I noticed it last Wed for the
first time, but didn't pay it much mind at the time, but since it's done it
on every call since then, I've decided to keep an eye on it more.
The other difference is that I'm currently in Charleston, SC since Wed. I
travel quiet a bit and this is the first time, I've gotten this in a
different city.
Just for fun, I turned off my call forwarding to see if it makes any
difference. But it still says it.

Well, maybe I'm all wet, but I would assume that since I have call waiting,
it wouldn't auto forward the call to voice mail. I would think that it would
ring the phone as normal.

It would be a good idea to check your phone menus for the call forwarding
options, then, and see if anything has changed.

Tanks Mike, I've been digging around the phone menus to see if I can figure
out what's difference. Just for fun, I dialed a number and then called my
cell number to see what it did. As expect, the currrent call continue, and I
got a notice\option to accept an incoming call. Which is pretty much in
line- with how it has always worked.
Also, my girlfriend has the same phone and plan and her phone does not say
forwarding on.
On a side note, the other change that was made last Tuesday, was her phone
was placed under my account, in order to switch over to the family talk
plan. Our accounts\plans are still seperate at this time, but I'm now
wonderng if something in that changed something somewhere. As it stands,
everythign works as it always did on our two phones, except mine now says
"Forwarding on"
Guess I'll have to call cingular anyways, since the system is not letting me
convert to the family talk plan anyways (I keep getting a message that the
system is having an error, try back in a few mins, but I've been trying
since wed)
