$16.74 is a very good deal for postpaid service with 300 peak minutes,
plus 1000 night and weekend minutes.

Why, do they have Cellular Telephone plans for low income people?? If they
need public assitance to get by, isnt a cell phone kind of one of those
    things you really dont need???

Dont go on about how cars break down or whatever, what happened before we
    all had cell phones.

In my opinion, if you cant afford to live without public assitance you
definately dont need a cellular phone!

Times change. If you want people working, raising kids, and not staying
home collecting welfare, then a wireless phone, at least for
    emergencies, is often necessary.

I'd add that even the low income plan costs a lot more than a prepaid
    set-up from PagePlus or T-Mobile.

Even at lifeline rates, the incremental cost of these extra subscribers
    does not increase your rates.
