Picture messaging question on RAZR v3

Currently I have a RAZR v3 with Cingular. On my plan I have 200
text/picture/IM's per month for $4.99 per month. I can send and receive
text messages perfectly. However, I cannot seem to download picture
messages once they are sent to me.

A friend sent me a picture message last night, and the phone picked it
up. I opened the message, and it asked me to download it, it was 32KB.
I pressed the appropriate option to download, and a box appeared that
said "Downloading message" for a second, and then disappeared. About 5
minutes later it reports that the message failed to download.

Does receiving a picture message require you to have a MEdia Net
internet package to download the actual data? Considering that I don't
have one, and pay per use disabled, this might be the reason why.
However, I don't see why they would advertise that you can receive
picture messages in the 200 messages/month package if you also have to
have MEdia Net to conver the actual downloading.

Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me. Call customer service and ask them to add
multimedia messaging to your account. You can either buy a package or
use it on a per use basis.
