    Run the software that came on the CD that comes with your
    Sony-Ericsson phone.

    no software with the phone and the stuff on the sony ericsson site doesnt
    change the system recognizing the phone as a removable disk drive.. thanks
    anyhow.

    I found out that if you want to transfer files, you don't choose "File
    Transfer" mode on the phone, but "Phone Mode".
    Go figure.
    Their software developers must have been smoking something when they
    wrote that interface.

    If you run the software from their website, I noticed it does not use
    the disk drive as the shared location, rather some shared folder under
    Windows.

    If you want to transfer the jpeg files taken from the phone to a PC,
    you don't use "File Transfer" mode, use "Phone" mode.
